SUMMARY:Scholastic Awards Teen Writing Competition (Week 1)
DESCRIPTION:Do you have a child age 13+ (grades 7-12) interested in writing
  and submitting an original work to the Scholastic Writing Awards? The dea
 dline for the American Voices &amp\; Visions Award is December 2 at 11:59p
 m\, and participants have a chance to win $500 and get published by Schola
 stic!\n\nJoin a group of 4-8 scholars and receive professional tutoring\, 
 feedback\, and revisions from an ELA educator with 10 years of experience 
 in writing tutoring! We will meet on Mondays from 6-7:30pm ET over the cou
 rse of 5 weeks (11/3\, 11/10\, 11/17\, 11/24\, 12/1) in order to select a 
 category\, brainstorm and create an outline\, write a rough draft\, edit a
 nd revise our work\, and upload to the Scholastic portal! Your child's ent
 ry fee to the competition is covered by their participation in this writin
